Job Title: Security OfficerJob DescriptionThe Security Officer monitors and patrols four commercial buildings in the North Cargo area of SeaTac Airport for a property management company. This role is based in the main building office and focuses on observing activity, monitoring camera feeds, conducting regular interior and exterior rounds, and documenting any issues or unusual occurrences. The position is non-armed and centers on vigilance, accurate reporting, and coordination with law enforcement and local operations personnel when needed.Responsibilities

• Report to the main office on the second floor of Building A at the start of each shift and review daily and weekly rotation checklists. • Monitor security camera feeds to observe activity in and around four nearby buildings within walking distance. • Conduct regular rounds by walking interior hallways and building exteriors, ensuring that doors, access points, and common areas remain secure. • Use a motorized cart as needed to move supplies and support building monitoring activities. • Maintain awareness of tenant areas while recognizing that tenants are responsible for their own office spaces. • Observe and document any unusual activity, safety concerns, or maintenance issues encountered during rounds. • Complete a concise end-of-shift report summarizing rounds completed, observations made, and any incidents or issues identified. • Promptly communicate potential security incidents or concerns to the Port of Seattle police and the local Operations Manager, who are quickly reachable for support. • Follow established security procedures, rotation schedules, and reporting protocols to ensure consistent coverage across all buildings. • Operate in a non-armed capacity, focusing on observation, documentation, and escalation rather than direct intervention in incidents. Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience as a security guard, preferably in a commercial or industrial environment. • Demonstrated experience with security monitoring, conducting rounds, and completing security reports and rotation checklists. • Compliant identification for airport badge • Valid Drivers License. • Ability to walk up and down stairs to access the main office on the second floor. • Ability to spend most of the shift standing or walking to complete rounds across multiple buildings. • Reliability and attention to detail when monitoring camera feeds and documenting observations. • Strong situational awareness and judgment to recognize potential issues and escalate appropriately. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in airport, industrial, or warehouse security environments is beneficial. • Comfort working independently while coordinating with a small local team, including an Operations Manager and maintenance personnel. • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with tenants during rounds when needed. • Basic familiarity with using security camera systems and office-based reporting tools. • Preference for a role with limited public interaction and minimal front-desk or reception duties. Rounds include building exteriors and interior hallways, and the four monitored buildings are all within walking distance. A motorized cart is available for moving supplies when necessary. Parking is available on site. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and the role involves spending most of the shift on foot, walking or standing. There is virtually no interaction with the general public, with only occasional check-ins with tenants during rounds. The environment is more industrial and operations-focused than corporate, making it well-suited for individuals who prefer active, non-desk work, Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $47840.00/yr.
