Job Title: Production Workers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ShiftJob DescriptionThis role involves working in a climate-controlled plastics manufacturing facility, supporting the production of plastic cups through feeding, packing, and inspecting activities. Production workers contribute directly to efficient, high-quality output by handling materials, monitoring product quality, and maintaining a steady workflow across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Responsibilities • Feed plastic cups and related product into production equipment in a safe and efficient manner. • Pack finished products according to established standards and packaging specifications. • Inspect products for defects, damage, or quality issues and remove or report nonconforming items. • Maintain consistent attention to detail to ensure high-quality production throughout the shift. • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment, including steel toe shoes or boots. • Support general production and general labor tasks as needed to keep the production line running smoothly. • Stand and move continuously throughout the entire shift to perform production, packing, and inspection duties. • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized work area within the manufacturing facility. Essential Skills • Proven ability to work in a production, general production, or general labor environment. • Experience with packing and inspecting products in a manufacturing or similar setting. • Strong attention to detail to identify defects and ensure product quality. • Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift without difficulty. • Capability to lift up to 30 lbs safely and repeatedly. • Willingness and ability to wear steel toe shoes or boots as required. • Reliability to work a consistent schedule across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Prior experience in plastics manufacturing or similar production environments is beneficial. • Comfort working with repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and quality. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to production guidelines. • Flexibility to work different shifts and accept two consecutive days off that may not fall on Saturday and Sunday. • Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting production goals. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a plastics manufacturing facility that is climate controlled, providing a comfortable temperature throughout the year. Work is performed on the production floor, where employees stand for the duration of their shift and engage in active, hands-on tasks such as feeding product, packing, and inspecting. Steel toe shoes or boots are required as part of the safety-focused dress code. Employees work five days per week with two consecutive days off, which may not fall on Saturday and Sunday. Shifts are structured as 1st (7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.), 2nd (3:00 p.m. 11:30 p.m.), and 3rd (11:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.), providing options for different schedules within a consistent, production-driven environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrence, KS. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
