Job Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of production and quality documentation within a cleanroom manufacturing environment. This position focuses on auditing batch records and calibration records, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with production and quality teams to keep records current and aligned with established standards. The role combines time on the production floor with computer-based work, offering a balanced mix of hands-on and analytical responsibilities. Responsibilities • Audit various production and quality documents, including batch records and calibration records, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures and standards. • Maintain and update batch records and related documentation so they remain current, organized, and easily accessible for review and reporting. • Review existing documents and work directly with applicable document owners to identify outdated or incorrect information and coordinate necessary updates. • Spend time on the production floor to understand processes, gather information, and verify that documentation accurately reflects current manufacturing practices. • Coordinate between different groups, such as production, quality, and other supporting teams, to resolve documentation discrepancies and implement corrections. • Use Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications, including Excel, to prepare, update, and analyze reports and documentation related to quality and production activities. • Generate clear, accurate reports and summaries based on audits and document reviews, highlighting issues, trends, and required corrective actions. • Maintain strong reporting practices by tracking document changes, audit findings, and follow-up actions in a consistent and organized manner. • Support quality assurance, quality control, and quality technician activities as needed to help uphold manufacturing and documentation standards. • Adhere to cleanroom manufacturing and microelectronics production protocols while working on the floor, including following all applicable procedures and safety guidelines. Essential Skills • Experience working with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills for documentation, data entry, and reporting. • Experience with Office 365 applications, with the ability to work efficiently in a computer-based environment for approximately 5060% of the workday. • Some quality-related experience, such as quality assurance, quality control, or quality technician work. • At least 6 months of manufacturing experience, ideally in a production or cleanroom environment. • Strong reporting skills, including the ability to compile, organize, and present information clearly and accurately. • Ability to audit documents such as batch records and calibration records with attention to detail and accuracy. • Comfort working both at a desk and on the production floor, transitioning between documentation tasks and hands-on coordination. • Equivalent knowledge gained through on-the-job training and/or experience in a relevant manufacturing or quality environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Background in quality assurance, quality control, or quality technician roles is beneficial. • Experience with batch record review, maintenance, and audit activities. • Familiarity with cleanroom manufacturing or microelectronics production processes. • Strong computer skills beyond basic usage, including the ability to work with spreadsheets, documents, and reporting tools. • Effective communication and coordination skills to collaborate with document owners and cross-functional teams. • Ability to manage multiple documentation tasks and follow up on required corrections in a timely manner. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a cleanroom manufacturing and production environment focused on microelectronics. Team members split their time between computer-based work and the production floor, with approximately 5060% of the day spent on computers using Microsoft Office and Office 365 applications. The position follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with training also conducted on first shift. Employees must be comfortable wearing cleanroom attire and adhering to cleanroom protocols, including strict contamination control and safety procedures. The environment is structured, process-oriented, and requires careful attention to detail while working with both documentation and production activities. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
