Welder and Fabrication TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role focuses on repairing and maintaining equipment, structures, and fixtures by applying heat to bond or fuse metal surfaces or parts together. You will use hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to assemble metal components into parts for equipment.Responsibilities
• Utilize hand welding and flame cutting equipment to assemble metal components into parts for equipment. • Maintain and repair manufacturing production equipment, structures, pipe systems, and ductwork. • Inspect existing weldments to identify areas of weakness. • Use welding equipment to perform metal cutting or trimming work. • Fabricate simple fixtures and structures as required. Essential Skills
• Proficiency in welding techniques including Tig welding. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Experience in fabrication and fitting. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience. • May require vocational or technical education. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
