Fleet Diesel Technician - 1st Shift Position Title: Fleet Diesel TechnicianPay: $31 - $34Shift: 1st ShiftSchedule: Monday-Friday (Overtime as needed)Work Environment: Manufacturing Facility Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Fleet Diesel Technician to join our maintenance team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on a fleet of diesel-powered trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other mobile equipment that support manufacturing and production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, diesel engine experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Essential Responsibilities
• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, forklifts, and other fleet equipment. • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brake systems, and drivetrains. • Conduct inspections and identify equipment needing repair or replacement. • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime. • Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately. • Perform oil changes, filter replacements, tire repairs, and other routine service work. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. • Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements. • Communicate equipment issues and repair status with supervisors and operations personnel. • Assist with facility maintenance projects as needed. Qualifications
• Previous experience as a diesel technician, diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic. • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance procedures. • Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools. • Ability to read and understand service manuals, schematics, and repair documentation. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking and documentation. • ASE certifications are a plus but not required. Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift throughout the shift. • Frequently lift and move materials or parts up to 50 pounds. • Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions. • Comfortable working around machinery, vehicles, and equipment. Benefits

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
