Job Title: Robotic Weld TechnicianJob Description
• The Robotic Weld Technician supports a high-volume stamping and welding assembly operation by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing a large fleet of robotic welding cells • This role focuses on MIG and spot welding robots, ensuring they run safely, efficiently, and with high quality Job Responsibilities
• Operate, support, and maintain approximately 150 MIG and spot welding robots in a high-volume manufacturing facility • Home, reset, and reteach points on weld robots to maintain accurate and consistent weld quality • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with robotic welding equipment, including Fanuc, Motoman, and ABB robots • Diagnose and repair pneumatic systems on fixtures, including checking air compressor function, identifying blockages in lines, and replacing pneumatic hoses as needed • Monitor sensors and automation components on welding fixtures to ensure proper operation and part detection • Respond quickly to equipment downtime, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to restore production • Perform maintenance and adjustments on industrial machines to support continuous operation of stamping and welding processes Essential Skills
• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience on industrial machines • Hands-on experience with robotic welding systems, including MIG and spot welding applications • Ability to home, reset, and reteach weld robots accurately and safely • Strong pneumatic troubleshooting skills for fixtures, including diagnosing air compressor issues, clearing blockages, and replacing pneumatic hoses • Familiarity with Fanuc robotic systems; experience with Motoman and ABB robots is highly relevant Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.60 - $34.60/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
