Job Title: Quality Specialist-if interested, text Caroline at 843/972/1883Job DescriptionJoin a dynamic quality team in a leading aerospace distribution center, where you will ensure the integrity and conformity of aircraft components before they reach manufacturing facilities. Working in a high-volume environment that stocks over a million part numbers and serves OEMs, MROs, and airlines, you will perform detailed inspections and documentation to verify product conformance to design requirements and industry standards. Your work will directly support the reduction of cost and risk by identifying discrepancies early and providing objective evidence of quality results.Responsibilities
• Verify routine product conformance to design requirements and provide clear, objective evidence of inspection results. • Perform auditing, surveillance, and ongoing monitoring of parts and processes, identifying and documenting any discrepancies. • Segregate and control non-conforming items, conducting preliminary review and disposition in line with established quality procedures. • Inspect incoming parts and materials as well as outgoing orders to ensure accuracy of certifications and proper processing of parts. • Conduct dimensional inspections according to design records and documented AQL levels, using appropriate precision measuring instruments. • Perform visual inspections to identify obvious defects and verify overall part quality. • Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements in accordance with AS9100 and internal quality standards. • Obtain and maintain Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative stamps for at least three customers and ensure proper use in quality processes. • Provide mentorship and guidance to the inspection team, sharing best practices and supporting consistent application of quality procedures. • Actively use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, pin gauges, ring gauges, comparators, and Smart scopes to validate part dimensions. • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine inspection criteria and verify compliance. • Apply QA inspection methods and procedures, including First Article Inspection, to new or revised parts. • Manage and control quality documentation, including certificates of conformance, FAA traceability records, 8130 forms, and airworthiness documentation. • Support export and FAA compliance by ensuring all quality and documentation processes meet applicable regulatory and customer requirements. Essential Skills
• Aerospace or aviation industry experience, particularly in inspection or quality control roles. • Experience interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to define inspection requirements. • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, including calipers and pin gauges, for dimensional inspection. • Hands-on experience using calipers, ring/pin gauges, comparators, and Smart scopes in a production or distribution environment. • Previous aerospace industry inspection experience with a strong focus on quality assurance. • Ability to interpret and work with quality manuals and documentation such as certificates of conformance, FAA traceability records, 8130 forms, and airworthiness documentation. • Experience in QA inspection methods and procedures, including First Article Inspection. • Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication, to accurately interpret technical documents and communicate findings. • Proficient PC skills and regular use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook and Excel, for documentation and reporting. • Knowledge of AS9100 requirements and traceability standards related to aerospace quality management. • Familiarity with quality control processes such as non-conformance reporting (NCR), document control, and visual inspection techniques. • 2+ years of related work experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, ring/pin gauges, comparators, and Smart scopes. • Background in quality assurance, quality control, or inspection within a distribution center or manufacturing environment. • Experience with export compliance and FAA compliance processes related to aerospace components. • Comfort working with large volumes of part numbers and complex quality documentation. • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in both physical parts and paperwork. • Effective mentorship and team collaboration skills to support and develop other inspectors. • Organized approach to document control and traceability, ensuring records are complete and accurate. The facility operates 8-hour first and second shifts with staggered start times: first shift begins between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., and second shift begins between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., offering some flexibility in scheduling. Team members work with a wide range of aerospace components and utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, pin and ring gauges, comparators, and Smart scopes, supported by standard PC workstations with Microsoft Office tools. An on-site cafeteria is available for breaks and meals, and the overall environment emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to established quality processes. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hialeah, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
