Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionThe Machine Operator operates CNC and production equipment used in the fabrication of custom stone countertops and surfaces. In this role, you accurately measure, position, process, and track materials throughout the production cycle while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. You work with automated cutting, profiling, polishing, and fabrication equipment to produce precision components according to specifications and customer requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Based on production needs, you may be assigned to rough-cut, profiling, or other fabrication processes.Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and production equipment to fabricate custom stone countertops and surfaces according to specifications and customer requirements. • Accurately measure and position materials using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure precise cuts and finished dimensions. • Load, secure, and process large stone slabs and fabricated materials through automated cutting, profiling, polishing, and fabrication equipment. • Monitor machine performance during operation and identify basic mechanical or process issues to maintain consistent quality and productivity. • Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment and production processes to resolve minor issues and minimize downtime. • Follow established safety procedures and standard operating practices when working around CNC equipment, production machinery, overhead cranes, and power tools. • Conduct visual checks and basic quality inspections on finished components to verify accuracy, finish quality, and adherence to standards. • Support machine setup and changeover activities as needed to transition between jobs, materials, and production runs. • Handle materials safely, including lifting, moving, and staging stone slabs and fabricated components throughout the production area. • Use computer systems or production tracking tools to update job status, record production information, and support workflow visibility. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety, efficiency, and high-quality output. • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production schedules and team coordination. • Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to meet daily production targets and quality expectations. Essential Skills

• Previous manufacturing or production experience. • Experience operating machinery or industrial equipment in a production or fabrication environment. • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical systems and tools. • Ability to read a tape measure and pull accurate measurements for material setup and cutting. • Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues to maintain workflow. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards in all fabrication tasks. • Ability to follow safety procedures and standard operating practices when working around machinery and materials. • Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production operations. • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift, including standing, walking, bending, and moving materials. • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing production demands. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CNC machine operation experience, including running automated cutting, profiling, and polishing equipment. • Ability to interpret blueprints or CAD drawings for dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication requirements. • Experience with machine setup and changeover for different jobs, materials, or tooling. • Quality inspection experience, including visual checks and dimensional verification of finished components. • Forklift or overhead crane experience for moving and staging large stone slabs or fabricated materials. • Experience working with stone, metal, wood, or other fabricated materials in a production or fabrication environment. • in fabrication, machining, or custom manufacturing environments. • Computer proficiency for production tracking, job status updates, and basic data entry. • Mechanical aptitude supported by hands-on experience in manufacturing or industrial settings. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
