Job Title: Warehouse AdminJob DescriptionThis role focuses on efficiently processing high volumes of small package orders in a warehouse environment. You will handle paperwork, scan orders, pack books and related materials, prepare boxes with protective filler, and print and apply shipping labels. The position is highly repetitive and production-driven, requiring strong attention to detail, consistent accuracy, and the ability to work at a fast pace while using basic computer and scanning equipment. Responsibilities • Receive and review paper work orders for outgoing packages. • Use a handheld scan gun to accurately scan and track each order in the system. • Pack one or more books and related materials into appropriate boxes according to packaging guidelines. • Add paper or other filler material to protect items inside the box and prevent movement during transit. • Securely tape boxes shut to ensure they are properly sealed for shipping. • Print the correct shipping labels using a computer-based system and affix labels to the corresponding boxes. • Advance orders through the warehouse computer system as each step is completed. • Maintain a fast, steady work pace to process approximately 400 or more packages per day. • Follow all established packaging processes, protocols, and quality standards. • Inspect packages for accuracy, proper labeling, and adherence to packaging requirements before completion. • Perform kitting tasks by assembling multiple items into a single package when required. • Support filling and labeling activities to ensure orders are complete and ready for shipment. • Communicate clearly in English and follow written and verbal instructions. • Adhere to scheduled break times and return promptly to maintain workflow and productivity. • Consistently follow warehouse safety practices and maintain a clean, organized work station. Essential Skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced packaging environment and consistently process 400+ packages per day. • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding English to follow instructions and documentation. • Basic computer skills to process orders, advance them through the system, and print shipping labels. • Ability to use a handheld scan gun to accurately scan and track orders. • Experience with packaging tasks, including packing, labeling, inspection, filling, and kitting. • Capability to stand for the duration of the shift while working at an individual work station. • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate labeling, correct contents, and adherence to packaging protocols. • Reliability and punctuality to meet attendance and break-time expectations. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in warehouse packaging or order fulfillment environments. • Familiarity with labeling and inspection processes for shipped goods. • Comfort with repetitive tasks and meeting production targets over an entire shift. • Ability to follow detailed client packaging processes and protocols. • Interest in taking on additional shifts or hours, particularly around holidays. Multiple shift options are available: weekday day shift (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), weekday night shift (5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.), weekend day shift (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), and weekend night shift (5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.). For 8-hour shifts, employees receive two 10-minute breaks and one 20-minute break, all paid. Work involves regular use of computers, scan guns, packing materials, and labeling equipment in a repetitive, production-focused environment, with clear processes and protocols to guide daily tasks. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
