Job Title: PipefitterJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team for a project at a school. The successful candidate will lead helpers in fitting carbon steel pipes up to 6 inches, focusing on chiller and boiler hookups, and working in mechanical rooms. Experience with steam pipes is essential, as well as the ability to lead small teams to ensure proper upfit and read blueprints. Responsibilities • Lead and guide helpers in fitting carbon steel pipes up to 6 inches. • Ensure proper installation of chiller and boiler hookups. • Work efficiently in mechanical rooms and with steam pipes. • Read and interpret blueprints accurately. • Lead small teams to achieve project goals effectively. Essential Skills • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial pipe fitting. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints. • Experience with fitting carbon steel, steam pipes, and working in mechanical environments. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chapel Hill, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
