**General Construction Laborer - Lincoln, NE**The general laborer will perform various golf course construction tasks, including preparing for and building greens, tees, and bunkers. Responsibilities also include digging holes for sprinkler heads, utilizing hand tools, and installing drainage and tie-ins. The role involves spreading and laying materials such as grass seed and sod, sports turf, greens mix, gravel, and sand.Responsibilities
• Prep work area by removing existing sod, sports turf, topsoil, greens mix, sand, and vegetation such as trees, shrubs, annuals/perennials, and weeds. • Perform excavation work using hand tools such as shovels, picks, and rakes to prepare for sports turf installation and to build greens, tees, and bunkers. • Haul topsoil, greens mix, gravel, sand, grass seed, and sod to the work area. • Install topsoil, sports turf, greens mix, gravel, sand, grass seed, and sod in prepared work areas. • Hand dig to install drainage, irrigation mainline, lateral lines, and irrigation heads. Skills & Qualifications
• 2+ years of general construction or landscaping experience • Previous experience with sprinkler systems is advantageous Why Work Here? Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
