Job Title: Industrial ElectricianJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our team at a cold storage facility. This role involves working with various electrical systems including 490 V, 120vAC, and 24vDC electricity. We require someone with intermediate experience, though we are open to teaching the right candidate. Responsibilities • Work with electrical systems including 490 V, 120vAC, and 24vDC. • Troubleshoot and replace drives, switches, proxes, and photoeyes. • Perform wiring and schematic work. • Conduct conduit bending and repair tasks. • Utilize basic HMI for troubleshooting purposes. Essential Skills • Experience with 480 Volts, 120vAC, 24vDC electricity. • Ability to troubleshoot and replace drives. • Competence in troubleshooting switches, proxes, and photoeyes. • Solid understanding of conduit bending and schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Intermediate experience preferred. • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a cold storage facility with exposure to fish, shellfish, and other common allergens. The work schedule is day shift from 5am to 2pm, Monday through Friday, with work every other Saturday unless you volunteer to have the day off. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
