Job Title: Control EngineerJob DescriptionJoin a global leader in the magnet wire industry with over 120 years of experience. This role is part of the Division Engineering team, responsible for the installation, integration, and commissioning of new automated equipment at expansion sites. You will be at the forefront of innovation in automotive, energy, industrial, and commercial and residential industries. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot and program PLC applications using Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and other platforms. • Utilize AutoCAD Electrical for designing panels and schematics. • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering departments, skilled trades, and project managers. • Provide technical support for new industrial automated machinery. • Interface with technical resources to obtain and procure new parts. • Assist with the integration of machinery to the Ignition platform. Essential SkilOur Client • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs. • Experience with Ignition or other SCADA platforms. • Experience in database management and machine data acquisition. • Knowledge of transformers, switchgear, switchboards, ethernet networking, machine communication, and project management. Additional SkilOur Client & Qualifications • Experience with medium voltage systems such as transformers, switchgears, and switchboards. • Project management experience. Work EnvironmentThis position is based in an office and factory setting, focusing on designing and planning control system projects. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Expect around 40% travel to sites in Canada, Tennessee, and Franklin, IN. The role involves working with platforms such as Rockwell and Ignition. This is a project-based role, offering the opportunity to join a growing organization. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, IN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.88/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
