Photo Studio Merchandise Prepper
Job Description: Join our Creative Marketing team as a Photo Studio Merchandise Prepper and play an important role in preparing products for efficient, high-quality photography. In this hands-on role, you'll organize and track merchandise, prepare products to camera-ready standards, and ensure samples are accurate and available when needed. Your attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities will help keep studio workflows moving and support timely image production.
The Photo Studio Merchandise Prepper prepares, organizes, tracks, and maintains merchandise and product samples used in automated photography production. This role helps ensure products are photo-ready, accurately tracked, and available according to production schedules. In addition, you'll: • Pull and organize merchandise by shot list and production priority, retrieving additional samples as needed to keep products ready for photography. • Prepare merchandise to camera-ready standards by steaming, ironing, cleaning, assembling, de-styling, dismantling, and organizing samples for storage or return. • Support studio production by assisting with product swaps, resetting merchandise, reducing on-set preparation, and keeping work areas stocked and shoot-ready. • Track product locations and manage sample check-in, check-out, reconciliation, storage, transfers, and returns to maintain inventory accuracy. • Partner with cross-functional product teams to communicate and resolve missing, damaged, incorrect, or otherwise unready merchandise. • As business needs require, use generative AI tools to support image production while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should be organized, dependable, and comfortable working with merchandise in a fast-paced production environment. We're looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, communicates proactively, and can balance multiple product requests and deadlines. In addition, we are looking for: • 1-2 years of related experience involving product handling, organization, inventory, retail, merchandising, or production support. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with basic computer and inventory-tracking skills. • Strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail, with the ability to keep products accurate, photo-ready, and properly tracked. • The ability to manage multiple requests and changing deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. • Effective communication, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving skills. • The ability to safely use irons, steamers, garment-care equipment, carts, and related preparation or material-handling tools. • The ability to lift, carry, move, and stage merchandise as required throughout the photography workflow.
