CBNPSA is looking for a Manager Planning and Scheduling who will report directly to Project Controls Director and will have as main responsibilities:
• Ensuring the development, analysis and issuance of the integrated plan, schedule of all activities for the long-term refurbishment outage.
• Preparation of schedule reports and updates to be issued at regular intervals.
• Collaboration with project managers and directors to ensure adherence to integrated plan.
• Ensuring early identification of schedule risks, overseeing mitigation plan and enforcing change management.
• Provide expert advice to the Project Management, Planning & Scheduling Director and other team members throughout the project.
• Integration of the contractor(s) schedules into the integrated program schedule and regular update issuance.
• Integration of the planning activities of the U1 Refurbishment Project between the various disciplines/departments.
• Implementation of an evaluation and control process of emerging tasks for the Cernavoda U1 Refurbishment Project.
• Provide input to the integrated project execution plan and advise of updates required for improved execution and monitoring.
• Lead a team of schedule analysts in support of the U1 Refurbishment.
• Support the development and growth of the team members providing succession planning throughout the department and preparation of individual development plans for direct reports.
• Foster an environment of continual improvement and continually seek improvements to the processes and procedures used to find efficiencies in the Planning and Budget Control department.
• Complete an assessment of current resources; software, hardware and personnel available, recommending addition or substitution of resources and continually monitor for improvements for recommendation.
• Provides quarterly and annual performance targets and assess the achievement of targets of the Project staff reporting to him (subordinates).
• Provides periodical performance assessment of the Project staff reporting to him (subordinates).
• Performs mentoring and training to the Project staff reporting to him, and nurtures leadership potential where the case for staff reporting to him.
• Develops and implements individual development programmes for the staff reporting to him and assesses the subordinated staff leadership potential to identify potential future managers/successors.
• Assigns individual responsibilities for the staff, according the job descriptions approved within the company.
• Manages staff timesheets and approval of leaves.
• Reports to the Purchaser’s management any deviation concerning the staff activity, discipline or performance.
Professional knowledge and experience:
• Post-Secondary/University Degree in Engineering, Business Administration in Finances.
• Previous experience in the refurbishment, maintenance and/or operation of a CANDU Station.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Superintendent and Manager roles
