JOB OVERVIEW

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Working in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and regulations:
Job Duties/Tasks:
• In accordance with prescribed safety procedures and regulations, performs routine general technician duties:
• Accountable for the health, safety and well-being of self and others, in accordance with procedures and standards.
• Perform prescribed tasks consistent with the nuclear energy work qualification.
• Perform sorting and segregation of nuclear by-products to maximize diversion of waste streams to reduce long term storage costs and environmental impacts.
• Assist in performing routine tasks involving, erecting, dismantling, reassembling, moving, loading and unloading, servicing, various fixtures, materials, structures, furniture, buildings, hardware, equipment and vehicles.
• Carry out cleaning, excavating, sandblasting, applying protective coatings, rough grinding, and lubricating, as directed.
• Carry out housekeeping and janitorial tasks.
• Perform duties such as snow-removal and ground maintenance.
• Operate any vehicle or combination of vehicle and trailer up to the level trained.
• Operates portable, hand- and power-driven tools and equipment.
• Perform work protection code activities up to the level trained.
• Stock storerooms and maintain supplies.
EDUCATION
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
QUALIFICATIONS

• Physical activity and ability to routinely lift/carry up to 50lbs.
