About this role

Job summary

Come and make a difference and be part of the dedicated Endoscopy team at the Royal United Hospitals Bath.

In this role, you will play a key part in the day to day running of endoscopy appointments including managing patient queries, general queries and booking appointments.

This role involves contact with patients, relatives and members of the general public, and you'll be part of a team that strives to provide an efficient and friendly appointment service to all.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for managing your own workload on a daily basis, this includes:o Working independently to ensure waiting lists are updated and appointments are booked efficientlyo The timely prioritisation and triage of referrals (including liaison withmultidisciplinary clinical teams)o Maintaining accurate pending lists for appointmentso Providing accurate monthly waiting time datao Checking for anomalies and spreadsheets to ensure all referrals are actionedo Requesting patient notes from the RUH and other hospitalso Undertaking all administrative tasks including scanning paperwork, emailing and filling.

Criteria Essential

Strong IT skills, including use of patient administration systems such as Cerner, Millennium, PAS, eRS, or similar NHS systems Knowledge of NHS waiting list targets and patient pathways

Desirable

Experience managing patient appointments, referrals, and follow-up bookings Previous administrative experience within an NHS or healthcare setting
