About this role
The Driver – Truck will support the OPS‑Service‑3100 department by safely transporting rental equipment for Portable Power between customer dock locations and NOV depots. The role requires strict adherence to NOV driver policies, federal regulations, and excellent communication to ensure timely, secure deliveries while maintaining vehicle and equipment integrity.
• Operate and safely drive assigned Class A vehicle with Hazmat endorsement. • Pick up, secure, and transport equipment to the correct destination. • Perform pre‑trip inspections, check weather and road conditions, and report any issues. • Confirm load details against the manifest and communicate with the transportation coordinator. • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, service schedule, and complete all required paperwork promptly. • Comply with NOV US Driver Vehicle Policy, ELD usage, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. • Work weekends, non‑standard hours, overnight, and long‑distance trips as needed. • Operate overhead crane and forklift for loading and unloading equipment. • Notify management of major maintenance or delivery problems. • Perform any additional duties assigned by the manager.
• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement (required by law). • Pass and maintain a USDOT medical exam and drug/alcohol testing. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office for email and documentation. • Strong communication skills for customer service and internal coordination. • Forklift and overhead crane operation certification. • Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow safety protocols. • Willingness to work weekends, overnight, and long‑distance travel. • Clean driving record and compliance with all NOV policies. • Basic safety training completed within 30 days of hire. • ELD (Electronic Logging Device) compliance knowledge.
