The Coordinator Global Events will be a subject matter expert responsible for developing and executing top tier employee facing events for different groups within Delta Air Lines. This role requires established experience, a proven track record of successfully produced events from conception through completion and a strong enthusiasm to continue to drive the team to meet and exceed established goals. He or she will support corporate engagement programs including employee focused cross-divisional events such as VELVET, BLVD Bash, Chairman’s Club, Frontline Leader Recognition, and other activities that support corporate goals and engagement initiatives. The position reports to the Sr Manager- Global Employee Events and is located in Atlanta. Management of events will include supporting marketing and communications of each event, as well as event logistics (location, registration, budget, etc). This position will be based in Atlanta will report to Sr. Manager of Global Employee Events. Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks): • This individual will play an integral role on the team that supports the planning, communication, development, and execution of the Blvd Bash, Chairman’s Club, VELVET, and other employee events programs. This includes team-wide support of LEAD Conferences, Olympics programs, and other marketing/sponsorship events programs. • Supports the planning of events that range in size from 100 to 30,000 people, including but not limited to hospitality programs, meetings, experiential activations, special events and Executive programming. • This individual is a strong communicator who is very detail oriented, highly organized and excels in fast-paced environments with changing deadlines and priorities. We’re seeking someone who is passionate and loves the creativity in building something from the ground up, is constantly looking for ways to grow, innovative and builds on our successes. This position will be based in Atlanta and will require some travel and some work over nights and weekends throughout the year. • Specific to this role, this individual will be focusing on supporting the Sr. Event Manager and General Manager with tracking the progress of the overall event status, setting up planning meetings and working closely with stakeholders on event logistics, event communications, tracking and reporting, including post event surveys, and management of the event mailboxes. • Responsible for supporting various facets of a program to include but not limited to logistics, VIP support, menu planning, wayfinding, event production, branding, transportation, housing, registration, audio visual, event design and budget management. • Removes roadblocks to success, in new and long-standing challenges, through strong relationships, effective communication, and creative solutions. • Contributes expertise, business knowledge and innovation across various ad hoc projects in support of flight plan initiatives. • Collaborates closely with appropriate business unit to ensure all visions, goals, budgets, and strategies are seamlessly executed across the enterprise. • Supports efforts to develop and evolve customer experiences to keep Delta events the best in the industry. Additional Tasks: • Ensure that health and safety measures for each event are observed to the letter. • Develop and manage long-lasting relationships with vendors, suppliers and clients. • Ensure all vendor/supplier final invoices are reviewed before payments are made. • Participate in post-event reviews and provide clients with a comprehensive post-event evaluation. • Support broader Global Employee Events Team on large-scale company events throughout the year.

You need to succeed (minimum qualifications): • Minimum 3-5 years related work experience with strong project management, large-scale event planning and production, and employee engagement experience preferred • Demonstrated ability to address complex issues in a clear, thoughtful manner and come to a resolution quickly without jeopardizing the event • Work collaboratively and be a consensus builder in a complex environment • Demonstrated ability to interact and work with all levels of the organization and across functions • Strong attention to detail • Ability to multitask and work on multiple complex projects to completion • Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority • Provide leadership and motivation in order to ensure synergy throughout an event What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications): • Internal candidate with working knowledge of Delta’s culture & corporate goals • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Event Management or any other relevant discipline, or possess cognate experience in event management • Strong time management skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks efficiently. • High energy, positive, professional attitude, pride in work product and passion for event management. • Ability to build productive business relationships. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Experienced at negotiating and building partnerships with vendors. • Demonstrates initiative and experience in project management is a must. • Impressive portfolio of previously managed events (hospitality programs, corporate

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
