Operations Assistant Supervisor
Job Description: Operations Assistant Supervisor Colony Brands, Inc. is one of the world’s largest and most successful direct marketing catalog and e-Commerce companies. To support our fulfillment operation in Peosta, IA we are seeking an Operations Assistant Supervisor to support the operations aspects of the distribution center.
What You’ll Do You’ll assist the supervisor in the preparations of fulfillment of productions, completion of inventory, coordinate staffing, and complete daily shipment records. Maintaining regulatory compliance with both company and national standards or policies. Practicing and enforcing safe working techniques to establish a zero-accident environment while fostering a culture where employee safety is the top priority. You’ll also be responsible for: • Overseeing employees working in both inbound and outbound positions. • Training employees in both inbound and outbound departments. • Coaching and counseling employees on performance and offer suggestions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications: What It Takes This role requires a strong, motivating communicator with warehousing experience. Ideally you will have worked in an operations related field with 1-2+ years of knowledge of supervisory procedures and concepts. In addition, we are looking for: • A leader who can deal fairly and firmly with a diverse workforce. • A problem solver to evaluate and solve day-to-day operational situations. • A leader who builds and maintains cooperation from their team in a positive work environment.
