Assistant Production Supervisor
Job Description: This role supports daily production operations by helping lead production teams, maintain quality standards, and ensure gift pack production runs safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, developing employees, and driving operational excellence.
What You'll Do: You'll assist in supervising production operations while ensuring quality, productivity, safety, and staffing goals are met. You’ll also be responsible for: • Supervising, training, and coaching production employees on quality, safety, and production standards • Monitoring daily production schedules to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time • Supporting line setup, product placement, labeling, packaging, and quality control activities • Assigning employees to production lines based on workload and staffing needs • Communicating daily with production leadership on progress, staffing, and operational issues • Identifying and resolving production, equipment, and workflow challenges • Assisting with employee onboarding, training, performance feedback, and attendance management • Monitoring safe machine operation and coordinating equipment repairs with Maintenance • Promoting workplace safety through training, coaching, and safety discussions • Maintaining accurate production records and documentation • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity
Qualifications: What It Takes: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Prior manufacturing, production, warehouse, or leadership experience preferred • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills • Ability to lead and motivate employees in a fast-paced environment • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
