About the Department and/or College: The Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration is AACSB accredited and houses the Lyons School of Accounting that holds separate AACSB accreditation. The college offers the BBA degree with majors in accounting, energy commerce, finance, information technology, management, marketing, and supply chain management. Several formats of the MBA program are offered in fulltime, weekend, and online modalities in Lubbock, the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Houston, and San Antonio. The College offers MS degrees in accounting, data science, finance, and marketing research and analytics. A Ph.D. in business administration is offered with tracks in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, and marketing. With a faculty of over 140 and a staff that exceeds 80, the college enrolls over 5,500 undergraduate and 1000 graduate students.

Major/Essential Functions: Coordinates and oversees daily Testing Center operations in accordance with established policies, procedures, and operational directives. Carries out plans and assignments provided by the Testing Center Senior Specialist or, in the Senior Specialist’s absence, the Senior Director.

Supervises and coordinates the activities of student assistants and graduate student proctors to support efficient Testing Center operations and maintain the integrity and validity of testing. Provides operational updates to the Senior Specialist as needed.

Manages and monitors daily Testing Center schedules to ensure exams are available and administered at the appropriate times during established testing periods.

Monitors testing activity to maintain exam integrity, including security cameras, computer screens, and Testing Center software, and identifies and reports potential testing violations. Assists with student check-in and check-out processes as needed.

Provides support and guidance to faculty and students regarding Testing Center policies, procedures, testing requirements, and general operations.

Assists with the hiring, training, and development of student assistants and graduate student proctors to promote consistent procedures, effective performance, and high standards of service.

Follows established procedures for opening and closing the Testing Center and ensures required operational and security procedures are completed.

Delivers presentations and informational sessions for faculty, staff, and students regarding Testing Center policies, procedures, and services.

Works the designated second-shift schedule of Monday–Thursday, 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The schedule may be adjusted on a limited, as-needed basis to support Testing Center operations.

Responsible for coordinating the activities of student assistants and graduate student proctors assigned to the supervisor and then reporting those activities back to manager. Amount of time supervising these subordinates will vary.

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Successful candidates possess excellent oral, interpersonal, written and presentation communication skills. They possess the ability to be detail orientated, strictly follow directives and plans assigned to them, and be able to handle or resolve daily issues, concerns and grievances. Able to handle high stress situations with integrity, respect, and calm professionalism.

Required Qualifications: High school graduation plus two years experience in related area. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience coordinating activities for subordinates and reporting those activities back to management. Familiarity with computer management software(e.g. LanSchool, NetSupport, Pearson, Lockdown Browser, Deep Freeze); familiarity with LMS Systems (e.g. Canvas Experience in logistics, scheduling and operations supervision; Basic computer and software troubleshooting skills; Experience in managing daily activities of subordinates. Experience dealing with Student Disability Services and ADA issues a plus.

Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
