Associate Director, Video Storytelling
Position Description: Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Under general supervision, performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.

About the Department and/or College: In Marketing & Communications, we deliver high-quality communications that tell the story of Texas Tech in the most compelling way possible.
Major/Essential Functions: • Create and execute stylized video storytelling efforts using Adobe Creative Suite and other associated programs and oversee a team of content creators. • Establish the overall visual style consistent with Texas Tech University brand standards. • Understand and guide stylized creative vision in all phases of development, production and post-production using camera, lighting and audio equipment. • Use industry knowledge and expertise to guide creative video production and distribution strategies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite. • Ability to communicate clearly visual styles and expectations to internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to be an independent storyteller who is confident and capable of serving in any production role. • Ability to prioritize multiple video projects simultaneously
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: • Lead others casting creative vision and execution of a shoot or interview. • Familiar with changing industry software and equipment standards. • Collaborate with other creatives and storytellers to establish and execute strategic storytelling plans. • Respectful, cooperative, and effective in interacting with a dynamic group of employees and stakeholders. • Develop and maintain effective working relationships.

Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
