Executive Director, Dallas/Fort Worth Community Engagement
Position Description: Provides leadership and direction in all aspects of administering multiple university branch campuses or major satellite locations. Meets ORP eligibility requirements. Plans, develops and implements strategies for generating resources and revenues.
Has budget administrative oversight of overall operations of units. Directs and supervises multiple Managing Directors.

Major/Essential Functions: This position serves as Texas Tech University’s senior representative for strategic engagement throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Functioning as a director level business development role rather than a traditional outreach position, the Executive Director is responsible for cultivating high-impact relationships and strategic partnerships that increase Texas Tech’s regional impact, expand educational and workforce opportunities, support enrollment growth, and strengthen the university’s visibility and engagement across the Dallas/Fort Worth region.
Working collaboratively with Enrollment Management, Academic Colleges and programs, Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations, and university leadership, the Executive Director develops partnerships that connect the university with business, industry, school districts, community organizations, nonprofit organizations, healthcare systems, and governmental agencies.
The Executive Director also provides strategic leadership for programming and utilization of Texas Tech’s Dallas/Fort Worth regional facility by creating opportunities for professional development, community events, alumni engagement, corporate partnerships, and academic programming that supports the university’s mission.
Strategic Partnership Development • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with regional employers, corporations, chambers of commerce, school districts, community colleges, healthcare organizations, nonprofit organizations, and civic leaders. • Identify partnership opportunities that support student recruitment, internships, workforce development, research collaboration, continuing education, and community engagement. • Represent Texas Tech at regional business and community events. • Serve as the primary relationship manager for external partners throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Regional Strategy and Engagement • Develop and implement a comprehensive regional engagement strategy aligned with university priorities. • Increase Texas Tech’s visibility and influence throughout Dallas/Fort Worth. • Identify emerging regional needs and opportunities that align with university expertise. • Advise university leadership regarding trends and opportunities in the DFW market. Programming and Regional Space Management • Develop annual programming for the Texas Tech Dallas/Fort Worth regional facility. • Coordinate educational programming including: • Professional development • Executive education • Continuing education • Community lectures • Faculty presentations • Industry forums • Student recruitment events • Alumni programming
• Maximize utilization of the regional facility through strategic partnerships and collaborative programming. • Coordinate external use of the space consistent with university policies. Collaboration Across the University • Work closely with: • Enrollment Management • Academic colleges and programs • Graduate School • Alumni Association • Institutional Advancement • University Marketing & Communications • Office of Research
to identify opportunities to expand university impact throughout the region.
Enrollment and Workforce Development Support • Support enrollment growth by developing relationships that increase awareness of Texas Tech programs. • Identify opportunities for corporate education, degree completion, online education, graduate programs, certificates, and workforce initiatives. • Assist academic colleges in connecting with prospective students and employers.

Required Qualifications: Master's Degree required, terminal degree preferred. Eight years progressively responsible management experience required. Education beyond the master's level may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in higher education. • Knowledge of the Dallas/Fort Worth business and civic community. • Experience working with corporate partnerships. • Experience planning executive-level programs and events. • Demonstrated success developing collaborative initiatives across multiple organizations. • Experience with workforce development, continuing education, or online education initiatives.

Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
