Assistant Inspector General I
Job Description: Conducts Inspector General (IG) inspections and investigations by assessing and identifying issues and allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse or adherence to policies and regulations. Evaluates global operations by monitoring the corporate hotline and active inspections/investigations.
Job Qualifications: Four years of experience in roles involving inspection, investigation, enforcement, and/or compliance specialization at the management level. Prior inspector general, law enforcement, or loss prevention experience is preferred.
Or
Bachelors degree and two years of experience in roles involving inspection, investigation, enforcement, and/or compliance specialization at the management level. Prior inspector general, law enforcement, or loss prevention experience is preferred.
Must successfully complete the Department of Defense (DoD) Inspector General training course and examination within 120 days of placement into position.

Major Duties: Conducts comprehensive on-site and telephonic interviews, analyzes information collected, and prepares clear and concise reports detailing recommended actions. Collects and analyzes data from multiple systems and observations to reach reasonable conclusions on the root cause of problems and proposes corrective actions/possible remedies. Performs a variety of technical and professional duties including research/collecting case-related documentation, assembling complaint profiles, determining appropriate case actions, and preparing initial summary reports. Reviews final inquiries for accuracy and thoroughness and closes data or report file. Leads hotline-derived inquiries and investigations to satisfy two components of the Inspector General (IG) charter. Coordinates with the Army, Air Force, and Department of Defense (DoD) Inspector General (IG) offices. Assists with preparations for external Inspector General (IG) inspections. Performs other duties as assigned.
