The Little Miami Transportation Department is looking for a bus driver for the 2026-2027 school year. Description
• Drivers are district employees of Little Miami who will transport students to and from a variety of school sites and ensure their safety while they are passengers on the school bus. Drivers responsible for ensuring the safety of all passengers, including special education students, while operating the assigned bus and for ensuring the assigned bus is in a safe operating condition at all times. Pay
• Starting pay is $23.72 per hour and can go up to $28.94 per hour pending experience. • The district is offering a hiring bonus of $2,000 for potential candidate who already have their CDL with a School Bus S Endorsement and a Passenger P Endorsement. Benefits
• The Board covers a significant portion of insurance premiums, paying 90% for Health, 95% for Dental, and 60% for Vision. For those enrolled in an HSA, the district contributes annual funds of $2,000 for family plans or $1,100 for single plans. Beyond health coverage, employees receive a district-provided $50,000 life insurance policy, full union benefits, and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Qualifications
• Possess a Commercial Driver License with a School Bus Passenger endorsement • Have an acceptable criminal background check and a negative pre-employment drug test • Be physically qualified as determined by an annual physical and present a valid annual physical certificate • Possess a valid Ohio Driver License • Maintain a safe driving record that meets insurance requirements
