The Little Miami Transportation Department is looking for a van driver for the 2026-2027 school year.
Description
- Drivers are district employees of Little Miami who will transport students and ensure their safety while they are passengers in a school van. Drivers responsible for ensuring the safety of all passengers, including special education students, while operating the assigned van and for ensuring the assigned van is in a safe operating condition at all times.
Pay
- Starting pay is $20.50 per hour and can go up to $25.01 per hour pending experience.
- Eligible active-duty military members, veterans with an honorable discharge, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses may qualify for financial bonuses through Ohio's Military Veteran Educators Program. Eligible applicants must be hired into a full-time position at a participating Ohio public educational institution on or after July 1, 2023. Individuals who worked in any Ohio school before July 1, 2023, are not eligible.
- Eligible employees may receive a $3,000 bonus after completing one year of employment, increased to $5,000 for eligible school transportation positions.

Qualifications
- Have an acceptable criminal background check within the past twelve months of employment and a negative pre-employment drug test
- Be physically qualified as determined by an annual physical and present a valid annual physical certificate
- Possess a valid Ohio Driver License
- Maintain excellent or above-average attendance
- Maintain a safe driving record that meets insurance requirements
