About this role
Summary Description: To provide mathematics curriculum and instructional support to elementary school administrators, elementary school teaching staff, and the community. Qualifications:
• Virginia postgraduate professional teaching license
• Master's Degree in curriculum and instruction, administration and supervision, or related field
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience at the elementary (K-5) level
• Administrative or supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working with all categories of employees and the public
• Extensive knowledge of best practices in mathematics
Essential Duties Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
• Demonstrates expertise and maintains competence in elementary level mathematics and tiered systems of support.
• Provides support and coaching to teachers, coaches, and administrators for the delivery of an effective instructional program.
• Facilitates the development and implementation of curriculum, professional learning, and instructional programs.
• Coordinates district-wide programs as assigned.
• Uses data to assess program efficacy and to drive instructional improvement.
• Monitors federal and state requirements, and supervises the implementation of changes to curriculum or instructional programs.
• Researches and evaluates evidence-based practices to support instructional programs.
• Monitors and evaluates instructional programs and achievement of division objectives.
• Prepares reports on the effectiveness of efficiency of the instructional program.
• Assists with the recruiting and interviewing of instructional personnel.
• Other duties as assigned through the immediate supervisor.
Pay Rate: The salary range is $93,539-$154,033 Contract: Full time / 12 months / 245 days Start Date: This position is effective with the 2026-2027 school year.
