About this role

Support the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO) in strengthening UN system coordination across Fiji, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. The role focuses on inter-agency coordination, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF). Key Responsibilities 1. UN Coordination Support Assist with UN Country Team and inter-agency meetings. Prepare agendas, briefing materials, presentations, and meeting summaries. Support communication and information sharing across UN entities. Maintain coordination records and knowledge products. 2. UNSDCF Development Support the design and finalization of the Pacific UNSDCF 2028-2032. Consolidate inputs from UN agencies, governments, and partners. Assist with consultations, workshops, and stakeholder engagement processes. Prepare background papers and briefing materials. 3. Country Planning & Implementation Support development and monitoring of Country Implementation Plans (CIPs). Assist with results reporting and joint programming activities. Help prepare documentation for coordination forums and steering committee meetings. 4. Executive Support Draft briefing notes, reports, presentations, and correspondence for RCO leadership. Support preparation and follow-up of meetings, missions, and strategic events. Maintain information management and tracking systems. 5. Knowledge Management & Communications Organize and share coordination-related information and guidance. Maintain databases, repositories, and tracking tools. Support communication products and documentation of lessons learned and good practices. Education Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Sciences, Governance, Project Management, International Cooperation, or a related field. Experience No professional experience required. Strong interest in international development, UN coordination, public policy, or programme management. Previous volunteering, internships, or international experience are an advantage. Preferred Skills Coordination and stakeholder engagement. Research, analysis, and report writing. Planning and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint. Languages Fluent English (required).
