About this role
Install and erect a wide range of fencing and boundary treatments to a high standard. ● Carry out timber fencing installations, including timber panel fencing, closeboard fencing, featheredge fencing, hit-and-miss fencing and picket fencing. ● Install post and panel and post and rail fencing systems. ● Install concrete fencing, including concrete posts, precast concrete panels, slotted concrete posts and gravel boards. ● Install and maintain steel palisade, security fencing, mesh fencing, welded mesh, weldmesh, V-mesh fencing and twin-wire fencing. ● Install chain-link fencing, including posts, straining wires and associated fittings. ● Install stock fencing, agricultural fencing and deer fencing. ● Install specialist acoustic fencing and temporary site hoarding where required. ● Complete gate installation and gate hanging, including setting posts, hinges, latches and associated hardware. ● Carry out post driving using a post knocker and prepare post holes using a post-hole auger where appropriate. ● Undertake concreting posts, ensuring posts are correctly aligned, levelled and securely installed. ● Carry out wire tensioning and installation of associated fencing wires and fixings. ● Complete fence repairs, replacements and remedial works. ● Carry out general ground preparation and associated groundworker duties. ● Read and work from site plans, measurements and installation specifications. ● Maintain safe working practices and ensure work is completed in accordance with company and site requirements. ● Keep tools, plant, vehicles and work areas clean, safe and well maintained. ● Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
