Job summary The Qualitative Insights and Engagement Manager will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality qualitative insights that inform the work of ICHP and its partners, including the design and delivery of evaluations and patient, public, and professional involvement activities.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the Senior Qualitative Insights and Engagement Manager, the post-holder will help deliver qualitative insight activities that support the successful delivery of projects across ICHP.
The role requires the ability to work autonomously, drawing on specialist expertise to provide advice and guidance to ICHP colleagues and external stakeholders, ensuring that qualitative insights contribute to effective decision-making and successful outcomes.
The post-holder will bring a strong understanding of qualitative research methods and experience in a range of engagement and involvement approaches, including deliberative methods, facilitation, survey design, interviewing, and co-design.
Excellent communication skills will be essential, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content and activities.
The role also includes contributing to the ongoing development of ICHP's culture and ways of working, sharing responsibility for making ICHP an inclusive, collaborative, and rewarding place to work.

Support the Senior Qualitative Insights and Engagement Manager to implement ICHPs overall strategic approach to qualitative insights. Independently lead on planning and delivering qualitative activities. For example, depth interviews and focus groups with a wide range of stakeholders. Share subject matter expertise through leading internal teaching sessions and regularly acting as an expert advisor for colleagues and stakeholders. Collate findings from qualitative activities and synthesise these to create accessible and actionable insights. Represent ICHP in regional and national engagement and involvement networks as necessary.

Robust and effective project management skills, e.g. time management, budget management and project reporting. Knowledge of engagement and involvement methodologies (or social research methodologies) and experience of putting these into practice Experience of supporting qualitative elements of evaluations.
