Main duties of the job
To support in the leadership & development of my team and take responsibility for the procurement & management of contracts (either products or services). Provide procurement leadership, advice and expertise to my team to enable colleagues to deliver on their savings targets. Assisting with day-to-day operational challenges within procurement led contracts.
To work with the stakeholders across the Trust at all levels to facilitate and manage projects for client organisations ensuring compliance with all relevant government legislation and Simply Serve Ltd (SSL)/Trust Standing Financial Instructions and Trust Standing Orders to ensure demonstrable best value.

Qualifications Essential
Good level of education, numerate, literate with good analytical skills (E) Knowledge of professional purchasing principles acquired through degree or Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), or equivalent training and or demonstrable work-based knowledge & experience (E) Practical knowledge of public sector tendering process and contract management (E)
Desirable
Formal project management experience (D) Knowledge and understanding of contract law (D) Full membership of CIPS (MCIPS) (D) Knowledge of NHS Terms & Conditions of Contract and public accountability (D) Broad knowledge of healthcare products/procedures (D)
Experience Essential
