QualificationsApplicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Developing cyberspace workforce plans, strategies, and guidance to support cyberspace workforce training and education requirements. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Experience demonstrating this competency include: Working with managers and employees to establish Individual Development Plans (IDP's) that detail specific cybersecurity training and qualifications required for compliance. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Coordinating with higher echelon regarding military and civilian personnel training system program management of proper Cyber IT/CWF processes and systems. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Examples of experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensuring that implemented system modifications do not adversely impact the security of the system and that contingency plans are developed and tested. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have qualifying experience such as: -Experience utilizing manpower and personnel IT systems. -Experience applying and reviewing organizational policies related to or influencing the cyber workforce. -Experience verifying security tests and conducted and documented. -Experience employing risk management principles to analyze threats and vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate countermeasures. Major DutiesYou will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBER SECURITY (N00CS), EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT, NAVY CYBER DEFENSE OPERATIONS COMMAND (NCDOC).You will be responsible for the administration of the Command’s CWF Program, which promotes the professional development and qualification of employees who carry out cybersecurity responsibilities.You will ensure that the Command is following the Cyber IT/ CWF Tracking, training, qualification and reporting responsibilities.You will coordinate with internal and external subject mater experts to ensure existing qualification standards reflect organizational functional requirements and meet industry standards.You will implement and manage local manpower, personnel, and qualification data element standards to support command-level cyber workforce management and reporting requirements.You will assist the Command Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in implementing and sustaining the Information Systems Security Program.You will perform appropriate monitoring and scanning of network resources, utilizing approved DoD scanning and security tools to ensure the network is being used IAW applicable DoD and DON directives.You will interpret scan results of the network infrastructure; conduct reviews and assessments to identify vulnerabilities, confirm compliance; and recommends correction action to the supervisor via reports on findings.
