The Fleet Services Division of the Department of Public Works supports the backbone of our provincial highway infrastructure. We are located at Miller Lake, the Central Fleet Services hub of the province. The team at Miller Lake is pivotal in ensuring the equipment used to maintain, repair, and build Nova Scotia's 23,000 kilometers of roads and highways, and 4,100 bridges, is always safe and ready to go.
We have an opportunity available for a Clerk to join our team and support our payroll and accounting operations. As a Clerk, you are one of our key team players who supports the overall efficiency of our operations.
About Our Opportunity
As the Payroll and Accounting Clerk, you are the backbone to supporting our department operations. You have the important responsibility of processing a broad range of payroll and accounting documents, while ensuring accurate data is processed and completed within tight deadlines.
Primary Accountabilities
In accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement and Departmental Guidelines, you will:
