Preferred: Working knowledge of non-appropriated fund practices, regulations and guidance materials. Completion of a bachelor's degree in a discipline closely related to the duties to be performed. Major DutiesServes as the Director of Finance for Defense Finance, supervising 3 branch chiefs (Disbursing, Vendor Pay/Travel, Payroll) and subordinates in the finance directorate providing financial services to over 170 customers.Manages, directs and executes financial services for DoD and Army NAFIs. Develops policies, coordinates, and performs all finance functions for serviced customers.Analyzes policies and procedures to determine changes necessary to preclude recurrent of problems and issues related to all areas of the finance directorate.Prepares comprehensive written reports and presents briefings and presentations at meetings and conferences.Ensures continuing, affirmative application and support of DoD and DFAS policy concerning the equal opportunity and affirmative action programs.
