QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-13 grade level equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist providing engineering guidance for the design, testing, or development of ordnance, munitions, or weapon systems to ensure compliance with established requirements or specifications; or as a professional chemist/physical scientist providing technical guidance for the design, testing, or development of materials used in ordnance, munitions, or weapons systems to ensure compliance with established requirements or specifications. Major DutiesYou will serve as a member of the Energetics Evaluation Branch and is responsible for coordinating programs and projects.You will serve as the Program Manager and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Qualification and Final (Type) Qualification (FTQ) competency area.You will provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure policies, certification philosophies and methodologies, and requirements are established/maintained for the DON/DOW through participation in DON and Joint working groups and initiatives.You will provide technical direction and advice with respect to work processes, content, issues or problems pertaining to the Energetics Qualification and Final (Type) Qualification programs.You will attend, chair, and participate in meetings concerning technical and engineering proposals, programmatic plans and actions that involve nationwide or DoW-wide technical experts in a variety of fields pertaining to energetic formulations.You will oversee generic research and development efforts to design, test, and transition appropriate technical projects relating to safe energetic solutions for the transportation, storage, handling and use of energetics and weapon systems.You will act as the custodian and technical point of contact (TPOC) of the NAVESEA Technical Manual SW010-AG-ORD-010.
