Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with medical procedures related to ophthalmology/optometry; setting up medical equipment for medical procedures; and triaging and treating eye injuries or disorders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Major DutiesScreening patients for both optometry and ophthalmology providers.Act as refractive surgery scrub and laser tech.Support providers in OR for ophthalmology eye surgeries.Perform diagnostic testing as requested by the provider.
