Job SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the SUPPLY MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE AT GULFPORT, MS.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of the full range of supply policies, procedures, and regulations from the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DON), NAVSUP, and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Utilizing Warehousing and Storage Management, Inventory Management, Physical Inventory Control, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) management, and Traffic Management. Utilizing Logistics and Financial Systems such as Navy's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and MILSTRIP. Possessing supervisory skills to manage personnel, plan and assign work, and evaluate performance. Conducting management studies and analyzing metrics to develop recommendations to improve supply processes. Managing physical facilities, including the maintenance and upkeep of warehouses and associated material handling equipment (MHE). Major DutiesYou will ensure that all aspects of facility and support equipment maintenance and upkeep are properly documented and repair work is executed in a timely manner to maintain facility operational readiness.You will be responsible for the receipt, storage, issuance and transfer of material from warehouse storage locations to staging areas awaiting transportation to end use customers.You will coordinate the technical and administrative operations of the Warehouse Operations Branch while considering programming and budgeting requirements, systems, policies and procedures.You will serve as the station point of contact for all matters relating to storage policies and implementation as related to individual repair parts and equipment across multiple systems and platforms.You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
