For a growing company specialized in ship repair and technical maintenance, we are looking for a SHIP ELECTRICIAN.
As a SHIP ELECTRICIAN, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out electrical maintenance and repair work on ships;Working on different ships, both at the workshop in Ostend and on-site throughout West Flanders;Starting on site and working independently on the planned tasks;Performing electrical tests and inspections;Disconnecting electrical components and wiring from engines;Troubleshooting electrical faults and finding suitable solutions;Carrying out electrical interventions and repairs;Actively thinking along with technical challenges and independently looking for solutions. As a SHIP ELECTRICIAN in OSTEND, you recognize yourself in the following:
You have a technical education or background, preferably in industrial electricity;You speak Dutch OR English;You have a driving licence B;You preferably have experience in an industrial environment;Experience in the maritime sector is a plus, but not an absolute requirement;You are able to work independently and do not need constant supervision;You are a real problem-solver who takes initiative and looks for solutions yourself;You are not afraid to take responsibility.
