The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Production Coordinator to join our team. The coordinator is responsible for the physical and systematic movement of materials and hardware within an assigned manufacturing/ production cell. This includes maintaining proper storage, creating kits, and distributing materials to their appropriate locations. This position is for Weekend Days (Fri, Sat, Sun) from 6:00AM – 6:00PM.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Create production kits with required parts and instructions for next level assemblies
• Correctly labeling parts allowing the receiving party to quickly identify what's in the kit
• Create shippers and deliver materials to shipping department for outside processing
• Ensures correct parts are kept in the appropriate quantities to support production and assembly requirements
• Identify and communicate all shortages/discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy
• Correctly labeling parts allowing the receiving party to quickly identify what's in the kit
• Utilize SAP/ERP systems to process miscellaneous material transactions including location changes, scrap, cycle count adjustments, etc.
• May operate hand truck for delivery or picking of parts and supplies
• Strive to accomplish team goals following established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety standards and regulations
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a similar role with materials, stocking, or inventory is preferred
• Must be detailed oriented, self-starter, and able meet deadlines
• Ability to understand and follow a set of clear oral and/or written procedures without deviation
• Ability to interact with cross-functional disciplines; possess good customer skills
• Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
• US. Citizenship is required.
• Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
