Director of Rehabilitation Salaried: $104,000 - $110,240 (depending on experience) Equivalent Hourly: $50.00-$53.00 Shift: Full-Time

Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Hopewell is looking to add a Director of Rehabilitation to its leadership team. In this role, you'll oversee all rehabilitation services, lead therapy staff, monitor department performance, and ensure exceptional resident outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and oversee daily operations of the rehabilitation department

• Supervise, mentor, and support therapy staff while ensuring quality care and regulatory compliance

• Monitor productivity, utilization, budgets, billing accuracy, and department performance metrics

• Perform evaluations and treatments as needed to support department operations

• Coordinate rehabilitation services with nursing, physicians, administration, and interdisciplinary teams

• Ensure accurate documentation, care planning, billing, and compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and regulatory requirements

• Conduct staff orientation, training, continuing education, and competency development

• Participate in care conferences, discharge planning, admissions, QAPI, marketing, and department leadership meetings

• Monitor therapy equipment, supplies, and department resources

• Support resident and family education regarding therapy services and rehabilitation goals

• Maintain department records, reports, and performance improvement initiatives

• Perform additional duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy program

• Valid New York State Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Therapy License required

• Minimum 3-5 years of therapy experience, including experience working with geriatric populations

• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred

• Previous management or leadership experience highly desirable

• Strong knowledge of rehabilitation services, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, documentation standards, and long-term care operations

• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to effectively lead a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
