Salary: £29,120 - 33,280 per year
Requirements: National Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ/ACC) is mandatory.Substantial experience in clinical coding within the NHS across a wide range of specialties.Strong understanding of data quality correction, HRGs, and financial flows.Experience supervising, coaching, or training junior clinical coding staff. Responsibilities: Lead daily clinical coding operations and data quality initiatives within an NHS setting.Supervise and mentor Clinical Coders and Data Quality Officers.Perform accurate ICD-10 and OPCS-4 coding and extract complex clinical data.Resolve data quality issues to support financial flows and operational requirements.Conduct performance reviews (PDRs) and resolve technical coding queries.Assist in executing clinical coding audit programs.Maintain compliance with national PbR timetables and Data Security and Protection (DSP) toolkit standards.Educate clinical and non-clinical staff on coding guidelines, data quality importance, and outpatient procedurally focused documentation.
