Requirements: We are looking for someone at the beginning of their IT career, with either some early experience in IT support, service desk or helpdesk, or a relevant IT/Computing qualification.We would ideally like around a years experience in IT service desk, helpdesk or IT support, although potential and aptitude also matter.We need a basic understanding of IT systems and troubleshooting principles.We need confidence using Microsoft 365 applications.We are looking for strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.We need strong communication and customer service skills.We value good organisation and attention to detail.We need the ability to follow processes while using initiative.We are looking for a genuine interest in developing technical skills and taking on greater responsibility over time. Responsibilities: We will have you providing initial first-line support and helping users with straightforward IT queries and issues.We will have you coordinating and administering IT service requests and related support activities.We will have you logging, monitoring and progressing incidents and service requests, escalating where appropriate.We will have you tracking actions arising from incidents, problems and service reviews.We will have you supporting service performance reporting and operational metrics.We will have you maintaining IT documentation, procedures and knowledge articles.We will have you helping maintain IT asset, licence and supplier records.We will have you maintaining SharePoint and other document repositories.We will have you coordinating meetings, taking notes and tracking actions.We will have you preparing papers, reports and briefing information.We will have you assisting with supplier, purchasing, budget, purchase order and invoice administration where required.We will have you communicating with colleagues, IT suppliers and users across the organisation. We are an established organisation in Addlestone, continuing to grow and develop our IT requirements. This is a full-time, onsite role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, five days a week. The position is initially a six-month temporary assignment with immediate availability required and a commitment through to 31 March 2026 or 31 March 2027 as stated in the source text; there is also potential for something longer-term for the right person. The role combines first-line IT support with service desk administration and coordination, offering a good mix of technical and operational work in a busy IT team. The initial hourly rate is £13.51 plus £1.63 holiday pay per hour, rising after 12 weeks to £15.47 plus £2.25 holiday pay per hour.
