Salary: £71,800 - 96,100 per year
Requirements: We are looking for an experienced cyber security leader with senior-level experience in a complex technology environment.We need deep expertise in security strategy, governance, risk and assurance.We are looking for strong hands-on knowledge of application, platform and cloud security, including AWS.You should be confident influencing senior stakeholders and providing honest challenge on cyber risk.You need a track record of setting security strategy and driving risks, vulnerabilities and incidents through to resolution.You should know key standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, Cyber Essentials and OWASP.You should have the people skills to build a strong team and work effectively across technology, legal, procurement and suppliers.A recognised security certification such as CISSP, CISM or CCSP would be an advantage.Hands-on experience with AWS security services, SonarCloud and Tenable would be an advantage.Experience building secure-by-design and DevSecOps practices into the software development lifecycle would be an advantage.Experience working alongside a central security function would be an advantage.Experience in a regulated, education or publishing environment would be an advantage. Responsibilities: We will ask you to set the cyber security strategy and priorities for the function, aligned with our wider security approach.You will act as the expert voice on cyber risk, giving senior leaders clear advice and honest challenge.You will maintain an authoritative view of our security posture across applications, platforms, suppliers and services.You will lead security governance and reporting so decision-makers can see the risks, threats and progress that matter.You will shape technology, architecture and investment decisions so security is built in from the start.You will lead security assurance for major systems, projects and suppliers, and steer how we tackle vulnerabilities and incidents.You will hold teams and suppliers to account for the controls and fixes they have committed to.You will lead, coach and grow our security operations team.
