Customer Support Specialist (1-Year Contract) Location: Schaumburg, ILSchedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PMEmployment Type: 12-Month ContractWork Setting: 100% Onsite Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Support Specialist to join a growing customer support team. This role focuses heavily on email communication, case resolution, research, and problem-solving rather than high-volume phone work. The ideal candidate will have strong written communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to navigate multiple systems while providing outstanding customer service.This position supports account management teams and fleet drivers by resolving service-related issues, processing requests, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Key Responsibilities
• Respond to a high volume of customer emails and manage customer cases through a CRM system. • Support account managers by assisting with vehicle ordering and customer service requests. • Research and resolve customer issues, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify solutions. • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve complex customer concerns. • Utilize Microsoft Teams daily to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. • Make outbound follow-up calls to customers when additional information or clarification is required. • Accurately document customer interactions and case updates within company systems. • Manage customer cases from initiation through resolution, ensuring timely follow-up. • Process billing changes, driver data updates, insurance card requests, and reporting needs. • Create vehicle selectors and complete various administrative support functions. • Contact drivers via phone and email to obtain missing information required for case completion. • Multitask effectively while entering customer information into systems during customer interactions. Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of office-based customer service experience. • Strong written communication and professional email correspondence skills. • Excellent problem-solving and research abilities. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. • Comfortable navigating multiple systems, databases, and screens simultaneously. • Strong computer skills and data entry accuracy. • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute. • High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM platform. • Experience in case management or customer issue resolution environments. • Previous experience supporting customers through email-based communication channels. Work Environment & Additional Information
