Industrial Hose Assembler/Machine OperatorNE PortlandDay Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-FridayJob DescriptionThis role focuses on building high-quality hose assemblies in a clean industrial shop environment. You will cut plastic hosing to precise lengths, attach and crimp fittings, and perform quality checks while following drawings and written work instructions. Once trained, you work independently and contribute directly to efficient production operations.Responsibilities
• Build hose assemblies according to drawings and detailed work instructions. • Cut plastic hosing to specified lengths using a tape measure and chop saw. • Attach appropriate fittings to hose ends and ensure correct placement. • Crimp fittings onto hoses using crimping tools and other power tools as needed. • Operate manufacturing and assembly machines safely and efficiently. • Use hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks and adjustments. • Perform quality checks on assembled hoses to ensure they meet specifications and standards. • Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and measurements accurately. • Maintain a clean and organized work area in a smaller industrial shop environment. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working around machinery and equipment. Essential Skills
• Ability to work with hand tools and power tools in an industrial or manufacturing setting. • Basic mechanical inclination and comfort working with machines and assembly processes. • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for cutting and measuring materials. • Capability to operate chop saws and crimping tools safely after training. • Skill in following written work instructions and simple drawings or blueprints. • Attention to detail for performing quality checks on assembled products. • Comfort working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, distribution, or construction environment. • Ability to work independently once trained while maintaining productivity and quality. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Hands-on work experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or construction is preferred but not required. • Experience in industrial manufacturing or assembly environments is an advantage. • Familiarity with machine operation in a manufacturing setting is beneficial. • Mechanical background or interest in mechanical work is helpful for success in the role. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
