Job Title: Packaging Associate/Material HandlerJob DescriptionThe Packaging Associate / Material Handler plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by receiving materials, stocking shelves, preparing kits, packaging products, and helping maintain accurate inventory. This position ensures materials are organized, available for production, and packaged correctly for shipment, while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work area.Responsibilities

• Package parts and finished products for shipment in a careful and consistent manner. • Receive incoming materials and accurately put them away in the designated storage locations. • Pick, pack, and stage materials for production to ensure manufacturing schedules are met. • Count inventory and help maintain accurate inventory records, including part numbers and quantities. • Perform basic quality checks and promptly report any damaged, incorrect, or missing items. • Use barcode scanners and basic hand tools to complete daily material handling tasks. • Assist with material movement throughout the warehouse to support production operations. • Support kitting of work orders and staging materials so production teams have what they need when they need it. • Help with inventory control activities such as cycle counting and resolving inventory discrepancies. • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe, following established housekeeping and safety procedures. • Collaborate with production team members and other departments as needed to keep workflow running smoothly. • Follow written and verbal instructions, standard work procedures, and company policies consistently. • Handle delicate and expensive products with a high level of care and attention to detail. Essential Skills

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, or material handling roles. • 1+ years of material handling experience within a manufacturing environment, supporting production operations, material movement, and inventory management. • Comfortable using basic hand tools and barcode scanners in daily work. • Basic computer skills for data entry and working with inventory systems. • Ability to follow instructions, standard operating procedures, and work processes accurately. • Capability to lift, move, and organize materials throughout the workday. • Detail-oriented and dependable, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality. • Experience using ERP/MRP systems to support inventory and production activities. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience with packaging, shipping, receiving, or inventory processes. • Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and maintaining inventory accuracy. • Experience kitting work orders and staging materials for production. • Familiarity with keeping work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. • Good communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with team members. • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist others as needed. The materials handled are often delicate and high-value, requiring careful handling and strong attention to detail. The setting is organized and safety-oriented, with an emphasis on maintaining a clean, orderly workspace and using tools such as barcode scanners and ERP/MRP systems to manage inventory and material flow. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alameda, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
