About this role

Job Title: Bench TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role focuses on repairing and servicing aircraft components at the bench level rather than working on the full aircraft. You will work at a dedicated station where parts are sent in for inspection, troubleshooting, and repair, including a variety of instruments such as altimeters, pressure instruments, gyroscopes, indicators, fuel flow transmitters, and gauges. The position is hands-on, detail-oriented, and ideal for someone with a strong analog electronics who enjoys component-level repair and precision work.Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft components and instruments at the bench level, rather than on the full aircraft. • Perform component-level repair on subassemblies, including replacement of components on printed circuit boards and other analog systems. • Use a variety of inspection tools and instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and voltmeters to diagnose and verify proper operation of components. • Read and interpret electronic schematics and blueprints to identify faults and guide repair activities. • Sand, solder, and repair electric motors, electric control panels, power distribution blocks, and relay boards with a high level of accuracy. • Conduct detailed inspection and testing of repaired components to ensure they meet required performance and safety standards. • Work on a range of instruments including, but not limited to, gyroscopes, altimeters, indicators, fuel flow transmitters, and gauges when needed. • Assemble, reassemble, and adjust analog and analog/digital components to restore proper functionality. • Maintain a clean, organized bench and ensure tools, test equipment, and materials are used safely and correctly. • Collaborate with a close-knit team of technicians, sharing knowledge and supporting others in troubleshooting and repair tasks. • Work independently on assigned repairs while communicating status and findings clearly to team members and supervisors. • Follow established repair procedures, documentation standards, and quality guidelines for aircraft component servicing. • Participate in ongoing coaching and skills development to deepen expertise in analog electronics and avionics-related components. Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience working on electronics at the component level, including vacuum tubes or analog systems. • Strong analog electronics experience, ideally down to component-level troubleshooting and repair. • Proficiency and confidence working in a bench-level environment with appropriate tooling and test equipment. • Ability to troubleshoot, sand, solder, and repair electric motors, electric control panels, power distribution blocks, and relay boards. • Experience reading and interpreting electronic schematics and blueprints. • Hands-on troubleshooting skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Experience using inspection tools and instruments such as an oscilloscope, multimeter, and voltmeter. • Competence in electronics repair, soldering, component repair, and component assembly. • Comfort working with analog and analog/digital systems in a bench technician or similar role. • Relevant experience in electronics, avionics, or military maintenance with a strong electrical foundation, even if not on the exact instruments used. Additional Skills & Qualifications

The environment is bench-based and hands-on, using tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, voltmeters, and standard soldering and assembly equipment to service aircraft components. The culture is family-oriented and collaborative, with the whole team helping each other and providing coaching to technicians who have the fundamentals and are eager to learn. The work is focused on precision electronic and analog component repair in a structured, shop-based setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
