Job Title: Clean Room OperatorJob DescriptionThe Clean Room Operator plays a key role in safely operating and monitoring production equipment within a controlled cleanroom environment. This position ensures that raw materials, in-process products, and finished assemblies meet established quality standards while following detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs). The role involves accurate documentation of production data, proactive identification of basic equipment or process issues, and maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area. Responsibilities • Operate and monitor production equipment in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Follow all safety rules and consistently wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including full cleanroom attire and bunny suit, as required. • Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished electrodes or assemblies to ensure they meet defined quality standards. • Accurately record production data, equipment readings, and quality inspection results in designated systems and logs. • Identify basic equipment or process issues, promptly report them, and assist with troubleshooting as directed. • Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move raw materials and semi-finished products safely within the facility. • Perform routine cleaning of machines, tools, and work areas to maintain a safe, organized, and contamination-controlled environment. • Conduct minor maintenance tasks on production equipment as instructed to support smooth and continuous operations. • Adhere to cleanroom protocols and procedures to maintain required cleanliness levels and prevent contamination. • Work effectively during extended shifts, maintaining focus and attention to detail while standing for long periods. • Collaborate with team members and follow written instructions to complete production tasks accurately and efficiently. Essential Skills • Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs and written instructions with a high degree of accuracy. • Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties. • Comfortable standing for 12-hour shifts in a production and cleanroom environment. • Willingness and ability to wear a bunny suit and full cleanroom PPE for extended periods. • Comfortable working around chemicals in a controlled cleanroom setting while following safety guidelines. • Basic machine operation skills applicable to production and assembly environments. • General production and general labor experience, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality and cleanliness standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. • Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment is preferred. • Experience with assembly and general production tasks is an advantage. • Experience operating industrial equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is beneficial. • Comfort with routine cleaning and minor maintenance of production equipment and work areas. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a controlled cleanroom production environment that requires strict adherence to cleanliness and safety protocols. Team members work 12-hour shifts on structured schedules. Day shift options include an A Shift from 7:55 AM to 8:25 PM on Sunday through Tuesday with a rotating mid-week day, and a B Shift from 7:55 AM to 8:25 PM on Thursday through Saturday with a rotating Wednesday. Night shifts, when available, include a C Shift from 8:25 PM to 7:55 AM on Sunday through Tuesday with a rotating Saturday, and a D Shift from 8:25 PM to 7:55 AM on Wednesday through Friday with a rotating Saturday, with a premium applied to night work. The environment involves regular exposure to production machinery, cleanroom processes, and chemicals under controlled conditions. Employees wear full cleanroom PPE, including a bunny suit, throughout their shift to maintain product integrity and safety. Work includes extended periods of standing, lifting materials up to 50 pounds, and operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in a well-organized, safety-focused facility. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Queen Creek, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
