Our core values of Respect, Ownership and Integrity help create an environment that supports a passion for teaching and learning. These values guide our work as we enrich our community through knowledge, experience and skills so every student can achieve their best.
As one of the country’s largest providers of quality education and training, City College Plymouth is entering a period of transition to enable us to propel education into the future. The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and learner-centred Tutorial & Personal Development Officer to design, coordinate and deliver an inspiring tutorial and personal development programme. Working across the College, you will help learners develop the knowledge, skills, behaviours and confidence they need to progress successfully into employment, apprenticeships, higher education or self-employment. You will champion wellbeing, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, working closely with curriculum and support teams to ensure every learner is supported to achieve their full potential.
What Will You Bring to the Role
Adapting: You will confidently manage a varied workload, respond positively to changing learner needs and priorities, and use information to continually improve tutorial delivery and learner outcomes. Collaborating: You will build positive relationships with learners, curriculum teams and support services, recognising individual needs and working collaboratively to provide timely support and meaningful personal development opportunities. Focused: You will remain calm and organised in challenging situations, make sound decisions that safeguard and support learners, and maintain high standards whilst delivering engaging group tutorials on a range of sensitive topics. Problem Solving: You will identify creative solutions to barriers affecting learner progress, evaluate information effectively and design engaging tutorial activities that prepare learners for successful futures.
